Former Siskin Spine and Rehabilitation Changes Name, Updates Look
Same Commitment to Excellent Care
Chattanooga, TN – Siskin Spine and Rehabilitation has changed its name to better reflect the comprehensive services provided by the Physiatrists and full team of medical care professionals. Now known as Siskin Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the practice has adopted a new brand and is currently renovating office space to better serve patients.
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation is a medical specialty that distinctively focuses on the evaluation, diagnosis and management of complex conditions involving nerve, muscle and bone as well as other conditions that cause pain and disability. Physiatrists work closely with referring specialists, primary care providers and patient support systems to establish personalized and comprehensive care plans for each patient.
“Since 2008, we have been serving the Chattanooga area with expert Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation services under the former name of Siskin Spine and Rehabilitation,” says David N. Bowers, MD, Physiatrist and Practice Partner. “Now, we have a new look and name, a remodeled office, and are expanding our relationship with area rehabilitation hospitals and licensed care facilities.”
Siskin PM&R is the only Physiatry group practice in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. The Physiatrists are all board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. In addition, several have obtained sub-specialty board certification in areas such as Brain Injury Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Pain Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
The Physiatrists at Siskin PM&R will take the time necessary to listen to each patient and perform a personalized, comprehensive evaluation. “Together, we will design an individualized treatment plan to help each patient meet his or her goals,” explains Matthew A. Rider, MD, Physiatrist and Practice Partner. “Whether you have experienced a work/sports injury, a stroke, or are living with a painful, debilitating condition, we are here to help you.”
Siskin PM&R has a new website at www.SiskinPMR.com. Kathi Potts, CMPE, Practice Administrator says, “Our patients now have access to an updated website where they can learn about each service we provide, download forms needed for their visit and get to know our care providers before they come in.” In addition, new educational materials will soon be provided to help patients and caregivers understand the role physical medicine & rehabilitation plays in a plan of care.
Siskin PM&R is located at 1 Siskin Plaza, Suite 101, inside Siskin Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Their offices are open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Physician referrals and some self-referrals accepted. The practice accepts most insurances; call in advance for insurance verification.
